Know what, I've been through the same as you did. Only difference is I followed what I really wanted. When I was about to step in to college, my parents originally wanted me to pursue optometry. because they wanted me to continue my father's work (as an optometrist) and eventually put up our own eye clinic. But, I still pursue what i wanted, I finished Fine Arts. You should tell them what you really want. Because you're the one who has to decide for yourself. Your choice of career is what you'll forever do with your life. You don't want to be stuck into doing something you don't really like for all your life, do you? just follow your heart!
