Those feelings of betrayal are normal...they may seem extreme to you, but it's simply a coping method. You feel as if she's abandoned you, and being hurt you react the only way you can...anger. Just don't let it consume you - and who knows? Maybe you two will find one another again, emotionally, and you can get over those feelings of anger and become close again. I went through the same feelings as you, I hated my best friend so long because I felt she'd given up on me - but we talked at length, and over time I started to feel close to her again.
